The foundation complements its work abroad with a network of branch offices and of partner institutions. The long term goal is an office in each of the major culture regions of the world.

Currently Pro Helvetia has liaison offices in Warsaw, Cairo, Johannesburg, New Delhi and Shanghai, runs its own cultural centre in Paris and finances the cultural activities of the Istituto Svizzero di Roma and the Swiss Institute New York. It has contracted out a mandate to swissnex San Francisco.

In its offices abroad Pro Helvetia employs only local staff. Their context knowledge and the expertise of specialists in Switzerland complement each other ideally.
