With the commitment to support and encourage exchange, Pro Helvetia invites art practitioners from the visual and performing arts, literature, design and interactive media to apply for studio and research residencies. This December, the Kochi - Muziris Biennale has invited three Swiss artists; Christian Waldvogel , Julian Charrière and Marie Velardie to present their work. We thank the Biennale for giving Swiss artists an opportunity to experience new audiences.

Swiss artists at Kochi Biennale 2014

Swiss artists, Christian Waldvogel , Julian Charrière and Marie Velardi to present their work at the Kochi Biennale 2014. The work of all three artists relates to the theme Whorled Explorations, which draws across axes of time and space to interlace the terrestrial with the celestial. >>

As part of The Swiss List, Seagull Books translates and publishes Melinda Nadj Abonji's book 'Fly Away, Pigeon' which has been translated into English by Tess Lewis. >>

Greenwoman duo live in Mumbai

Greenwoman duo, Swiss jazz pianist Malcolm Braff and Claire Huguenin to perform in Mumbai on Friday 5 December at Cafe Nemo. Greenwoman is Malcolm Braff's new jazz-pop-electro project. >>

Exhibition Alice from Switzerland

A collaborative project by Museum Rietberg, Zurich and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Mumbai based on the work of Alice Boner, a visionary Swiss artist and scholar who worked and lived in Varanasi, India. >>

Residencies 2015/ 2016 - call for applications

Pro Helvetia's liaison office in India supports studio and research residencies. Artists and cultural practitioners in the areas of the visual and performing arts, literature, design and interactive media are eligible to apply. Last date for submission of application is 1 March 2015. >>
